The Superfine Merino fabric used is 100% Australian grown, spun and woven. It is also certified ‘non-Mulesing’, meaning it is sourced from ‘best farming practices’ growers that ensure the highest standards of animal welfare.
The 170gsm (5 oz) Superfine Merino is light and tough, yet soft against the skin with a non itch feel. As the 170gsm regulates temperature so well, we use it as a base layer in winter and an only layer in summer, and have tested it from 0 degrees C all the way through to 38 deg C and can vouch for its outstanding abilities.
Other key features of Merino are:
- Fully breathable.
- Natural thermally regulating – keeps you warm in winter AND cool in summer.
- Naturally anti bacterial and odour free.
- Flame resistance.
- Sustainable, renewable and biodegradable.
- Ethically grown, locally.
- Guaranteed 17 Micron, Superfine.
- Not blended with other, lesser quality wool.
- Machine washable.
- Excellent colour fastness

The core measurement is physical chest size. If you don’t know what that is, you can:Chest size
1: Look at formal/business shirt, as these still use ‘True’ sizing.
2: Measure. Using a tape measure, measure around your chest at nipple hight. The tape should not be pulled taught, nor have any slack in it.
Once you have this, depending on your body size, select the size that corresponds. If you are in the middle, e.g 38.5″, go down to 38. If you are 39, go up to a 40, unless you want a firm fit and do not put on weight! Keep in mind Merino does not have the stretch of many synthetics, so a firm fitting Merino top will feel… firm.
‘Finished’ refers to the final dimensions of the garment and you can use these to measure against a similar garment you may have to see how they compare. Keep in mind that when using this method, there will be some discrepancies due to unavoidable variations in sewing etc., as well as any shrinkage in the garment you are using to measure from.
To measure a top, lay it flat and use the below chart as a guide on how to obtain comparative measurements. Try and make sure there are no wrinkles when measuring and ensure not to stretch the garment, which can make it longer than it really is. (Note: Measurements may vary +/-5mm | 1/4″):
A = FINISHED CHEST: Measured from arm pit to arm pit.
B = LENGTH: Measured at the side from arm pit to base of hem.
C = HEM: The finished hem of the top laid flat. Measured across the base.
D = SLEEVE LENGTH: Measured from collar edge to the cuff.
F = DROP: The amount the centre back hem is lower than the front.
To size our women’s kit, we use a unique ‘benchmark’ system.Women’s Jersey Sizing & Fit
Using the guide below, measure the key measurements of your favourite jersey by laying it flat on the floor. Once you have these key measurements, select the size in the chart that’s the closest match to what you already have.
For sizes that are in-between, we generally advise to go to the next size if the measurement is more than 1.5cm or .5″ greater than what we list.
If you do not see a size to match, contact us and we can look at making a match for you.
B = BODY LENGTH: Measured from armpit to bottom of the jersey.
C = FINISHED CHEST: Measured from arm pit to arm pit.
F = DROP The amount the centre back is lower than the front.
H = HIPS: Measured left to right, at the base the hem.
W = WAIST: Measured left to right, halfway between armpit and the bottom of the jersey.
A = ARM LENGTH: The finished length of the sleeve laid flat. Measured from edge of collar to end of sleeve.
AH = ARM HEM: The finished sleeve hem when flat. Measured across the base of the sleeve.
